1. Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital
This is one of the most referenced health care centers in Ghana. It is located in the capital, Accra. It is the teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Ghana medical school. Korle-Bu has a 2000 bed capacity, making it the third-largest hospital in Africa.

This facility was established on 9th of October, 1923, under the administration of Sir Gordon Guggisberg to provide health care for the indigenous people.
If you are in search of the best hospitals in Ghana, then this is in no doubt one of the best. They offer excellent cardiothoracic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery and radiotherapy.

2. 37 Military Hospital
Many ask for the meaning of 37 as the name of a hospital. This is because it is the 37th military hospital to be built in the British colony of West Africa.
It is the largest military hospital in Ghana, having a capacity of 400 beds. This hospital offers good services and health care procedures such as accident and emergency, x-ray, gynecology, dentistry, pediatrics as well as veterinary treatment.
This 37th military hospital was built by a British military officer in 1941. This was to provide health care for troops injured in the Second World War.
Although the hospital is now open to the public, it still ran primarily by military personnel.

3. Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital
It was built and named as Kumasi Central Hospital in 1954. The name of the second-largest hospital in Ghana was changed to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

KATH is located in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, and it is affiliated to the School of Medical Sciences of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Currently, the hospital has about 1000 beds. It is known to have personnel who are good at Gynecology, physiotherapy, child care, dentistry and much more
