Simi signs wew deal with Apple Music’s “Platoon”
Sensational singer, Simi is the latest Nigerian music act to join London based record label, Platoon.
The singer who is still enjoying the success of her hit single “Duduke” took to her Instagram page to announce that she just joined the label as an artiste and revealed that her new EP “Restless II” would be released soon. She wrote: “New week and new deal. I’m officially part of the @weareplatoon family! ? #RestlessII coming soon”
Platoon which was launched in 2016, is a platform that enables artistes to distribute their music independently Platoon is in charge of A&R (signing and developing talent), marketing, video editing suites, funding, recording studios, and fiscal business management.
The firm has signed the likes of British singer, Jorja Smith, Sam Smith, DJ Cuppy and Mr Eazi. It has also developed major artistes like Billie Eilish and Stefflon Don who left to sign hefty global deals with Universal Music Group.
