The Reds star might come in for punishment after appearing to operate his mobile device behind the wheel
Liverpool have alerted the Merseyside Police about a viral video of Mohamed Salah using his mobile phone while driving.
In a footage circulating Twitter – presumed to be taken after the striker had led his team to a 4-0 victory over West Ham United on Sunday afternoon – the Egypt international was filmed using his phone behind the wheel in traffic.
Fans, including kids, were jostling for the forward’s attention, which he paid none. Salah continued on his device as he wheeled away from the traffic.

However, Liverpool, via a spokesperson, said that they have made the police aware of the situation; one believed to have prompted their tweet.

The club will not make further comment on the matter as they would deal with the issue ‘internally.’
“The club, after discussion with the player, have made Merseyside Police aware of the footage and the circumstances surrounding its capture,” read the statement, as reported in the Liverpool Echo.
“We have spoken to the player also and will deal with any follow-up internally.
“Neither the club or player will be making any further comment on this matter.”
