Some irate customers of gold dealership company Menzgold have threatened to go down with the CEO of the company Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1 if he fails to pay their monies by the close of Friday, December 7, 2018.
The frustrated customers whose millions are still locked up with Menzgold warned they may be tempted to unleash their wrath on the CEO if their demands are not met.
This threat came following a statement that was released by the company asking all their staff to proceed on leave from December 10 to 20, 2018.
The customers disclosed this in an interview with Adom News.
“We see no reason why the workers have been asked to proceed on leave when NAM1 has made no efforts to pay us or communicate anything about how our monies will be paid to us.”
They are however calling on the government to intervene in the issue to make the retrieval of their huge sums with Menzgold possible.
The activities of the gold dealership company were halted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) who disclosed the company was only licensed to buy gold from small-scale miners and export but not to buy or sell gold to the public.
The company which had scores of Ghanaians monies with them have been unable to refund the monies even though they have made numerous promises regarding the payment.
It promised to pay some dividends to customers on October 5 29018 but their offices were not opened on that day and have since not fulfilled their part of the bargain and promised even after customers went on demonstration against the company.
