Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior popularly known in the music industry as Kwesi Arthur is a Ghanaian Hip-Hop/AfroBeats musician. He was born on the 18th of December 1994 (25 years = 2019) in Tema. Kwesi Arthur was nominated for BET Awards Viewer’s Choice “Best New International Act” 2018. He is currently considered one of the best young artists in Ghana and Africa.

Kwesi Arthur has spent his whole life around his hood, Tema: from Good Sheperd to Sakumono Estate to Naylor SDA then Temasco.
The rapper’s childhood was a little bit of challenging, narrating to Kuulpeeps, Young Arthur had rickets whilst growing up and after SHS, he was supposed to go to GIJ but couldn’t pay the fees so didn’t make it. At one crazy moment, he almost became a security guard. The story is, he had bought forms to the University of Ghana but didn’t get admission.
MUSIC CAREER:
Kwesi Arthur began to pursue a career in music after listening to Drake’s debut album, Thank Me Later.
In 2015, he released the lead single “Grind Day” from his debut EP, Live from Nkrumah Krom (2017). The record was released under his independent outfit and supported by a social movement called GroundUp Chale. He later released the remix for “Grind Day”, featuring Sarkodie and Medikal.
Kwesi Arthur has collaborated with numerous Ghanaian musician, including Sarkodie, Medikal, KiDi, Jason E LA, Nasty C, R2Bees, B4bonah, M.anifest, EL, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale. He was nominated for Best International Act at the 2018 BET Awards.
