Three (3) Senior High Schools closed down at Manya Krobo due to H3N2 outbreak.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has closed down three Senior High School (SHS) in the Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region as a result of the recent outbreak of H3N2 flu.
This was contained in a letter from the Director General of GES to the various heads of the schools with the directives to close down the schools until proper things are done for the safety of the students.
The three affected schools, Manya Krobo SHS (MAKROSEC), Akuse Methodist Technical SHS (AMEST) and Krobo Girls SHS (KLOGISS) all in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality has been closed down from now till November 23, 2019 due to the outbreak of the H3N2 flu in the above listed schools to afford the authorities the opportunity to properly fumigate the schools.
Due to this, the 50th anniversary celebration of MAKROSEC has been brought to a halt.
The planning Committee has, therefore, assured to communicate the new dates to the general public in due course.
